CVE-2023-54221 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: clk: imx93: fix memory leak and missing unwind goto in imx93_clocks_probe In function probe(), it returns directly without unregistered hws when error occurs. Fix this by adding 'goto unregister_hws;' on line 295 and line 310. Use devm_kzalloc() instead of kzalloc() to automatically free the memory using devm_kfree() when error occurs. Replace of_iomap() with devm_of_iomap() to automatically handle the unused ioremap region and delete 'iounmap(anatop_base);' in unregister_hws.
CVE-2023-54220 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: 8250: Fix oops for port->pm on uart_change_pm() Unloading a hardware specific 8250 driver can produce error "Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address" about ten seconds after unloading the driver. This happens on uart_hangup() calling uart_change_pm(). Turns out commit 04e82793f068 ("serial: 8250: Reinit port->pm on port specific driver unbind") was only a partial fix. If the hardware specific driver has initialized port->pm function, we need to clear port->pm too. Just reinitializing port->ops does not do this. Otherwise serial8250_pm() will call port->pm() instead of serial8250_do_pm().

CVE-2022-50569 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: Update ipcomp_scratches with NULL when freed Currently if ipcomp_alloc_scratches() fails to allocate memory ipcomp_scratches holds obsolete address. So when we try to free the percpu scratches using ipcomp_free_scratches() it tries to vfree non existent vm area. Described below: static void * __percpu *ipcomp_alloc_scratches(void) { ... scratches = alloc_percpu(void *); if (!scratches) return NULL; ipcomp_scratches does not know about this allocation failure. Therefore holding the old obsolete address. ... } So when we free, static void ipcomp_free_scratches(void) { ... scratches = ipcomp_scratches; Assigning obsolete address from ipcomp_scratches if (!scratches) return; for_each_possible_cpu(i) vfree(*per_cpu_ptr(scratches, i)); Trying to free non existent page, causing warning: trying to vfree existent vm area. ... } Fix this breakage by updating ipcomp_scrtches with NULL when scratches is freed
CVE-2023-54074 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: Use correct encap attribute during invalidation With introduction of post action infrastructure most of the users of encap attribute had been modified in order to obtain the correct attribute by calling mlx5e_tc_get_encap_attr() helper instead of assuming encap action is always on default attribute. However, the cited commit didn't modify mlx5e_invalidate_encap() which prevents it from destroying correct modify header action which leads to a warning [0]. Fix the issue by using correct attribute. CVE-2023-54069 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix BUG in ext4_mb_new_inode_pa() due to overflow When we calculate the end position of ext4_free_extent, this position may be exactly where ext4_lblk_t (i.e. uint) overflows. For example, if ac_g_ex.fe_logical is 4294965248 and ac_orig_goal_len is 2048, then the computed end is 0x100000000, which is 0. If ac->ac_o_ex.fe_logical is not the first case of adjusting the best extent, that is, new_bex_end > 0, the following BUG_ON will be triggered: ========================================================= kernel BUG at fs/ext4/mballoc.c:5116! invalid opcode: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP PTI CPU: 3 PID: 673 Comm: xfs_io Tainted: G E 6.5.0-rc1+ #279 RIP: 0010:ext4_mb_new_inode_pa+0xc5/0x430 Call Trace: <TASK> ext4_mb_use_best_found+0x203/0x2f0 ext4_mb_try_best_found+0x163/0x240 ext4_mb_regular_allocator+0x158/0x1550 ext4_mb_new_blocks+0x86a/0xe10 ext4_ext_map_blocks+0xb0c/0x13a0 ext4_map_blocks+0x2cd/0x8f0 ext4_iomap_begin+0x27b/0x400 iomap_iter+0x222/0x3d0 __iomap_dio_rw+0x243/0xcb0 iomap_dio_rw+0x16/0x80 ========================================================= A simple reproducer demonstrating the problem: mkfs.ext4 -F /dev/sda -b 4096 100M mount /dev/sda /tmp/test fallocate -l1M /tmp/test/tmp fallocate -l10M /tmp/test/file fallocate -i -o 1M -l16777203M /tmp/test/file fsstress -d /tmp/test -l 0 -n 100000 -p 8 & sleep 10 && killall -9 fsstress rm -f /tmp/test/tmp xfs_io -c "open -ad /tmp/test/file" -c "pwrite -S 0xff 0 8192" We simply refactor the logic for adjusting the best extent by adding a temporary ext4_free_extent ex and use extent_logical_end() to avoid overflow, which also simplifies the code.

When we hit an error we free it all up, however this also calls btrfs_discard_update_discardable, which requires block_group->free_space_ctl->tree_lock to be held. However this is our temporary ctl so this lock isn't held. Fix this by calling __btrfs_remove_free_space_cache_locked instead so that we only clean up the entries and do not mess with the discardable stats.

This indicates a poll after the CQ is freed.  [77786.481636] Call Trace: [77786.481640]  <TASK> [77786.481644]  bnxt_re_poll_cq+0x14a/0x620 [bnxt_re] [77786.481658]  ? kvm_clock_read+0x14/0x30 [77786.481693]  __ib_process_cq+0x57/0x190 [ib_core] [77786.481728]  ib_cq_poll_work+0x26/0x80 [ib_core] [77786.481761]  process_one_work+0x1e5/0x3f0 [77786.481768]  worker_thread+0x50/0x3a0 [77786.481785]  ? __pfx_worker_thread+0x10/0x10 [77786.481790]  kthread+0xe2/0x110 [77786.481794]  ? __pfx_kthread+0x10/0x10 [77786.481797]  ret_from_fork+0x2c/0x50 To avoid this, complete all completion handlers before returning the destroy QP. If free_cq is called soon after destroy_qp, IB stack will cancel the CQ work before invoking the destroy_cq verb and this will prevent any race mentioned.
CVE-2023-54047 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/rockchip: dw_hdmi: cleanup drm encoder during unbind This fixes a use-after-free crash during rmmod. The DRM encoder is embedded inside the larger rockchip_hdmi, which is allocated with the component. The component memory gets freed before the main drm device is destroyed. Fix it by running encoder cleanup before tearing down its container. [moved encoder cleanup above clk_disable, similar to bind-error-path]
CVE-2023-54045 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: audit: fix possible soft lockup in __audit_inode_child() Tracefs or debugfs maybe cause hundreds to thousands of PATH records, too many PATH records maybe cause soft lockup. For example: 1. CONFIG_KASAN=y && CONFIG_PREEMPTION=n 2. auditctl -a exit,always -S open -k key 3. sysctl -w kernel.watchdog_thresh=5 4. mkdir /sys/kernel/debug/tracing/instances/test There may be a soft lockup as follows: watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#45 stuck for 7s! [mkdir:15498] Kernel panic - not syncing: softlockup: hung tasks Call trace: dump_backtrace+0x0/0x30c show_stack+0x20/0x30 dump_stack+0x11c/0x174 panic+0x27c/0x494 watchdog_timer_fn+0x2bc/0x390 __run_hrtimer+0x148/0x4fc __hrtimer_run_queues+0x154/0x210 hrtimer_interrupt+0x2c4/0x760 arch_timer_handler_phys+0x48/0x60 handle_percpu_devid_irq+0xe0/0x340 __handle_domain_irq+0xbc/0x130 gic_handle_irq+0x78/0x460 el1_irq+0xb8/0x140 __audit_inode_child+0x240/0x7bc tracefs_create_file+0x1b8/0x2a0 trace_create_file+0x18/0x50 event_create_dir+0x204/0x30c __trace_add_new_event+0xac/0x100 event_trace_add_tracer+0xa0/0x130 trace_array_create_dir+0x60/0x140 trace_array_create+0x1e0/0x370 instance_mkdir+0x90/0xd0 tracefs_syscall_mkdir+0x68/0xa0 vfs_mkdir+0x21c/0x34c do_mkdirat+0x1b4/0x1d4 __arm64_sys_mkdirat+0x4c/0x60 el0_svc_common.constprop.0+0xa8/0x240 do_el0_svc+0x8c/0xc0 el0_svc+0x20/0x30 el0_sync_handler+0xb0/0xb4 el0_sync+0x160/0x180 Therefore, we add cond_resched() to __audit_inode_child() to fix it.
CVE-2023-54040 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: fix wrong fallback logic for FDIR When adding a FDIR filter, if ice_vc_fdir_set_irq_ctx returns failure, the inserted fdir entry will not be removed and if ice_vc_fdir_write_fltr returns failure, the fdir context info for irq handler will not be cleared which may lead to inconsistent or memory leak issue. This patch refines failure cases to resolve this issue.
CVE-2023-54036 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rtl8xxxu: Fix memory leaks with RTL8723BU, RTL8192EU The wifi + bluetooth combo chip RTL8723BU can leak memory (especially?) when it's connected to a bluetooth audio device. The busy bluetooth traffic generates lots of C2H (card to host) messages, which are not freed correctly. To fix this, move the dev_kfree_skb() call in rtl8xxxu_c2hcmd_callback() inside the loop where skb_dequeue() is called. The RTL8192EU leaks memory because the C2H messages are added to the queue and left there forever. (This was fine in the past because it probably wasn't sending any C2H messages until commit e542e66b7c2e ("wifi: rtl8xxxu: gen2: Turn on the rate control"). Since that commit it sends a C2H message when the TX rate changes.) To fix this, delete the check for rf_paths > 1 and the goto. Let the function process the C2H messages from RTL8192EU like the ones from the other chips. Theoretically the RTL8188FU could also leak like RTL8723BU, but it most likely doesn't send C2H messages frequently enough. This change was tested with RTL8723BU by Erhard F. I tested it with RTL8188FU and RTL8192EU.
