In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/apic: Don't disable x2APIC if locked The APIC supports two modes, legacy APIC (or xAPIC), and Extended APIC (or x2APIC). X2APIC mode is mostly compatible with legacy APIC, but it disables the memory-mapped APIC interface in favor of one that uses MSRs. The APIC mode is controlled by the EXT bit in the APIC MSR. The MMIO/xAPIC interface has some problems, most notably the APIC LEAK [1]. This bug allows an attacker to use the APIC MMIO interface to extract data from the SGX enclave. Introduce support for a new feature that will allow the BIOS to lock the APIC in x2APIC mode. If the APIC is locked in x2APIC mode and the kernel tries to disable the APIC or revert to legacy APIC mode a GP fault will occur. Introduce support for a new MSR (IA32_XAPIC_DISABLE_STATUS) and handle the new locked mode when the LEGACY_XAPIC_DISABLED bit is set by preventing the kernel from trying to disable the x2APIC. On platforms with the IA32_XAPIC_DISABLE_STATUS MSR, if SGX or TDX are enabled the LEGACY_XAPIC_DISABLED will be set by the BIOS. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k: avoid uninit memory read in ath9k_htc_rx_msg() syzbot is reporting uninit value at ath9k_htc_rx_msg() [1], for ioctl(USB_RAW_IOCTL_EP_WRITE) can call ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream() with pkt_len = 0 but ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream() uses __dev_alloc_skb(pkt_len + 32, GFP_ATOMIC) based on an assumption that pkt_len is valid. As a result, ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream() allocates skb with uninitialized memory and ath9k_htc_rx_msg() is reading from uninitialized memory. Since bytes accessed by ath9k_htc_rx_msg() is not known until ath9k_htc_rx_msg() is called, it would be difficult to check minimal valid pkt_len at "if (pkt_len > 2 * MAX_RX_BUF_SIZE) {" line in ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream(). We have two choices. One is to workaround by adding __GFP_ZERO so that ath9k_htc_rx_msg() sees 0 if pkt_len is invalid. The other is to let ath9k_htc_rx_msg() validate pkt_len before accessing. This patch chose the latter. Note that I'm not sure threshold condition is correct, for I can't find details on possible packet length used by this protocol.

It was found that within a critical section of spin_lock_irqsave in sidtab_context_to_sid(), convert_context() (hooked by sidtab_convert_params.func) might cause the process to sleep via allocating memory with GFP_KERNEL, which is problematic. As Ondrej pointed out [1], convert_context()/sidtab_convert_params.func has another caller sidtab_convert_tree(), which is okay with GFP_KERNEL. Therefore, fix this problem by adding a gfp_t argument for convert_context()/sidtab_convert_params.func and pass GFP_KERNEL/_ATOMIC properly in individual callers. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: fix uninitialized waitqueue in transaction manager The transaction manager initialization in txInit() was not properly initializing TxBlock[0].waitor waitqueue, causing a crash when txEnd(0) is called on read-only filesystems. When a filesystem is mounted read-only, txBegin() returns tid=0 to indicate no transaction. However, txEnd(0) still gets called and tries to access TxBlock[0].waitor via tid_to_tblock(0), but this waitqueue was never initialized because the initialization loop started at index 1 instead of 0. This causes a 'non-static key' lockdep warning and system crash: INFO: trying to register non-static key in txEnd Fix by ensuring all transaction blocks including TxBlock[0] have their waitqueues properly initialized during txInit().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/radeon: Do not kfree() devres managed rdev Since the allocation of the drivers main structure was changed to devm_drm_dev_alloc() rdev is managed by devres and we shouldn't be calling kfree() on it. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cpufreq/longhaul: handle NULL policy in longhaul_exit longhaul_exit() was calling cpufreq_cpu_get(0) without checking for a NULL policy pointer. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfs4_setup_readdir(): insufficient locking for ->d_parent->d_inode dereferencing Theoretically it's an oopsable race, but I don't believe one can manage to hit it on real hardware; might become doable on a KVM, but it still won't be easy to attack. Anyway, it's easy to deal with - since xdr_encode_hyper() is just a call of put_unaligned_be64(), we can put that under ->d_lock and be done with that.

Add kfree() if idr_alloc() fails and in ac97_adapter_release() to do the cleanup. Found by code review.
