In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: erofs: fix crafted invalid cases for encoded extents Robert recently reported two corrupted images that can cause system crashes, which are related to the new encoded extents introduced in Linux 6.15: - The first one [1] has plen != 0 (e.g. plen == 0x2000000) but (plen & Z_EROFS_EXTENT_PLEN_MASK) == 0. It is used to represent special extents such as sparse extents (!EROFS_MAP_MAPPED), but previously only plen == 0 was handled; - The second one [2] has pa 0xffffffffffdcffed and plen 0xb4000, then "cur [0xfffffffffffff000] += bvec.bv_len [0x1000]" in "} while ((cur += bvec.bv_len) < end);" wraps around, causing an out-of-bound access of pcl->compressed_bvecs[] in z_erofs_submit_queue(). EROFS only supports 48-bit physical block addresses (up to 1EiB for 4k blocks), so add a sanity check to enforce this.

Fortinet FortiOS through 7.6.6 allows attackers to decrypt LDAP credentials stored in device configuration files, as exploited in the wild from 2025-12-16 through 2026 (by default, the encryption key is the same across all customers' installations). NOTE: the Supplier's position is that the instance of CWE-1394 is not a vulnerability because customers "are supposed to enable" a non-default option that eliminates the weakness. The gh cli is GitHub’s official command line tool. A security vulnerability has been identified in the GitHub CLI that could leak authentication tokens when cloning repositories containing `git` submodules hosted outside of GitHub.com and ghe.com. This vulnerability stems from several `gh` commands used to clone a repository with submodules from a non-GitHub host including `gh repo clone`, `gh repo fork`, and `gh pr checkout`. These GitHub CLI commands invoke git with instructions to retrieve authentication tokens using the `credential.helper` configuration variable for any host encountered. Prior to version `2.63.0`, hosts other than GitHub.com and ghe.com are treated as GitHub Enterprise Server hosts and have tokens sourced from the following environment variables before falling back to host-specific tokens stored within system-specific secured storage: 1. `GITHUB_ENTERPRISE_TOKEN`, 2. `GH_ENTERPRISE_TOKEN` and 3. `GITHUB_TOKEN` when the `CODESPACES` environment variable is set. The result being `git` sending authentication tokens when cloning submodules. In version `2.63.0`, these GitHub CLI commands will limit the hosts for which `gh` acts as a credential helper to source authentication tokens. Additionally, `GITHUB_TOKEN` will only be used for GitHub.com and ghe.com. Users are advised to upgrade. Additionally users are advised to revoke authentication tokens used with the GitHub CLI and to review their personal security log and any relevant audit logs for actions associated with their account or enterprise

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nios2: ensure that memblock.current_limit is set when setting pfn limits On nios2, with CONFIG_FLATMEM set, the kernel relies on memblock_get_current_limit() to determine the limits of mem_map, in particular for max_low_pfn. Unfortunately, memblock.current_limit is only default initialized to MEMBLOCK_ALLOC_ANYWHERE at this point of the bootup, potentially leading to situations where max_low_pfn can erroneously exceed the value of max_pfn and, thus, the valid range of available DRAM. This can in turn cause kernel-level paging failures, e.g.: [ 76.900000] Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 20303000 [ 76.900000] ea = c0080890, ra = c000462c, cause = 14 [ 76.900000] Kernel panic - not syncing: Oops [ 76.900000] ---[ end Kernel panic - not syncing: Oops ]--- This patch fixes this by pre-calculating memblock.current_limit based on the upper limits of the available memory ranges via adjust_lowmem_bounds, a simplified version of the equivalent implementation within the arm architecture.

The WP User Frontend Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the delete_avatar_ajax() function in all versions up to, and including, 4.1.3. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php).

The Bare Metal Operator (BMO) implements a Kubernetes API for managing bare metal hosts in Metal3. Baremetal Operator enables users to load Secret from arbitrary namespaces upon deployment of the namespace scoped Custom Resource `BMCEventSubscription`. Prior to versions 0.8.1 and 0.9.1, an adversary Kubernetes account with only namespace level roles (e.g. a tenant controlling a namespace) may create a `BMCEventSubscription` in his authorized namespace and then load Secrets from his unauthorized namespaces to his authorized namespace via the Baremetal Operator, causing Secret Leakage. The patch makes BMO refuse to read Secrets from other namespace than where the corresponding BMH resource is. The patch does not change the `BMCEventSubscription` API in BMO, but stricter validation will fail the request at admission time. It will also prevent the controller reading such Secrets, in case the BMCES CR has already been deployed. The issue exists for all versions of BMO, and is patched in BMO releases v0.9.1 and v0.8.1. Prior upgrading to patched BMO version, duplicate any existing Secret pointed to by `BMCEventSubscription`'s `httpHeadersRef` to the same namespace where the corresponding BMH exists. After upgrade, remove the old Secrets. As a workaround, the operator can configure BMO RBAC to be namespace scoped, instead of cluster scoped, to prevent BMO from accessing Secrets from other namespaces, and/or use `WATCH_NAMESPACE` configuration option to limit BMO to single namespace.

quic-go is an implementation of the QUIC protocol in Go. The loss recovery logic for path probe packets that was added in the v0.50.0 release can be used to trigger a nil-pointer dereference by a malicious QUIC client. In order to do so, the attacker first sends valid QUIC packets from different remote addresses (thereby triggering the newly added path validation logic: the server sends path probe packets), and then sending ACKs for packets received from the server specifically crafted to trigger the nil-pointer dereference. v0.50.1 contains a patch that fixes the vulnerability. This release contains a test that generates random sequences of sent packets (both regular and path probe packets), that was used to verify that the patch actually covers all corner cases. No known workarounds are available.
