CVSS v3.1 |
A flaw was found in ArgoCD Image Updater. This vulnerability allows an attacker, with permissions to create or modify an ImageUpdater resource in a multi-tenant environment, to bypass namespace boundaries. By exploiting insufficient validation, the attacker can trigger unauthorized image updates on applications managed by other tenants. This leads to cross-namespace privilege escalation, impacting application integrity through unauthorized application updates.
Creolabs Gravity before 0.9.6 contains a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the gravity_vm_exec function that allows attackers to write out-of-bounds memory by crafting scripts with many string literals at global scope. Attackers can exploit insufficient bounds checking in gravity_fiber_reassign() to corrupt heap metadata and achieve arbitrary code execution in applications that evaluate untrusted scripts.
| A vulnerability in the Object Model CLI component of Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC) could allow an authenticated, local attacker to cause an affected device to reload unexpectedly, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have valid user credentials and any role that includes CLI access.
This vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by issuing crafted commands at the CLI prompt. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the device to reload, resulting in a DoS condition. |
A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in Fortinet FortiAnalyzer Cloud 7.6.2 through 7.6.4, FortiManager Cloud 7.6.2 through 7.6.4 may allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code or commands via specifically crafted requests. Successful exploitation would require a large amount of effort in preparation because of ASLR and network segmentation
ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to versions 7.1.2-15 and 6.9.13-40, a heap buffer over-read vulnerability exists in the DJVU image format handler. The vulnerability occurs due to integer truncation when calculating the stride (row size) for pixel buffer allocation. The stride calculation overflows a 32-bit signed integer, resulting in an out-of-bounds memory reads. Versions 7.1.2-15 and 6.9.13-40 contain a patch.
A segment fault (SEGV) flaw was found in libtiff that could be triggered by passing a crafted tiff file to the TIFFReadRGBATileExt() API. This flaw allows a remote attacker to cause a heap-buffer overflow, leading to a denial of service.
Vim is an open source, command line text editor. Versions prior to 9.2.0077 have a heap-buffer-overflow and a segmentation fault (SEGV) exist in Vim's swap file recovery logic. Both are caused by unvalidated fields read from crafted pointer blocks within a swap file. Version 9.2.0077 fixes the issue.
A security vulnerability has been detected in jarikomppa soloud up to 20200207. The impacted element is the function SoLoud::Wav::loadflac of the file src/audiosource/wav/soloud_wav.cpp of the component Audio File Handler. Such manipulation leads to heap-based buffer overflow. The attack must be carried out locally. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
dr_libs dr_wav.h version 0.14.4 and earlier (fixed in commit 8a7258c) contain a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the drwav__read_smpl_to_metadata_obj() function of dr_wav.h that allows memory corruption via crafted WAV files. Attackers can exploit a mismatch between sampleLoopCount validation in pass 1 and unconditional processing in pass 2 to overflow heap allocations with 36 bytes of attacker-controlled data through any drwav_init_*_with_metadata() call on untrusted input.
ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to versions 7.1.2-16, a heap-based buffer overflow in the UHDR encoder can happen due to truncation of a value and it would allow an out of bounds write. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.1.2-16.
ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to versions 7.1.2-16 and 6.9.13-41, a 32-bit unsigned integer overflow in the XWD (X Windows) encoder can cause an undersized heap buffer allocation. When writing a extremely large image an out of bounds heap write can occur. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.1.2-16 and 6.9.13-41.
iccDEV provides a set of libraries and tools for working with ICC color management profiles. Prior to 2.3.1.5, there is a heap-based buffer overflow write in CIccMatrixMath::SetRange() causing memory corruption or crash. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.3.1.5.
iccDEV provides a set of libraries and tools for working with ICC color management profiles. Prior to 2.3.1.5, there is a heap-based buffer overflow in icCurvesFromXml() causing heap memory corruption or crash. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.3.1.5.
Heap buffer overflow in Skia in Google Chrome prior to 146.0.7680.71 allowed a remote attacker to perform out of bounds memory access via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
InDesign Desktop versions 20.5.2, 21.2 and earlier are affected by a Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.

Two potential heap out-of-bounds write locations existed in DecodeObjectId() in wolfcrypt/src/asn.c. First, a bounds check only validates one available slot before writing two OID arc values (out[0] and out[1]), enabling a 2-byte out-of-bounds write when outSz equals 1. Second, multiple callers pass sizeof(decOid) (64 bytes on 64-bit platforms) instead of the element count MAX_OID_SZ (32), causing the function to accept crafted OIDs with 33 or more arcs that write past the end of the allocated buffer.
HDF5 is software for managing data. In 1.14.1-2 and earlier, an attacker who can control an h5 file parsed by HDF5 can trigger a write-based heap buffer overflow condition in the H5T__ref_mem_setnull method. This can lead to a denial-of-service condition, and potentially further issues such as remote code execution depending on the practical exploitability of the heap overflow against modern operating systems.
Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows NTFS allows an authorized attacker to execute code locally.
OpenPrinting CUPS is an open source printing system for Linux and other Unix-like operating systems. In versions 2.4.16 and prior, there is a heap-based buffer overflow in the CUPS scheduler when building filter option strings from job attribute. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.
